There are two honest ways to watch the Baku Grand Prix. You buy a seat in a grandstand, or you buy access and walk. The official ticket page calls the second one the General Admission Ticket. In practice it is a roaming ticket, and it helps to think of it that way.
RH Travel does not sell race tickets. This page exists because the choice affects everything else you plan, including where you stay and how you get in.
What a grandstand actually gives you
A reserved seat, in a fixed place, for the whole weekend. For 2026 the official page listed grandstand tickets as Wednesday to Saturday.
The value is certainty. You know where you are sitting on race day. You do not arrive early to claim a spot, and you do not lose your view when the area fills up.
The trade is that you see one part of the track very well and the rest on a screen. On a street circuit that is a real trade, because different corners give completely different racing.
What General Admission gives you
Access to the entertainment zones without a reserved seat. For 2026 the official page listed it as Thursday to Saturday.
The value is variety. Over three days you can watch from more than one place and work out which corner you actually like.
The cost is time and legs. Good spots fill early, especially for qualifying and the race itself. You will stand for long periods, and you will walk a lot in a city that is warm in September.
One more difference is easy to miss. In 2026 the official page stated that the General Admission Ticket did not include concert access. If the concert nights are part of your plan, check that line first, because it alone can decide it.
The named grandstands
For 2026 the official page listed Absheron, split into sections A to E, and two PASHA Real Estate stands at Azneft. The others were Champions, Mugham, Icheri Sheher, Sahil, Khazar, Bulvar, Giz Galasi, Filarmoniya, Zafar, City and Marine.
On 17 September 2026 most of them showed as sold out. Absheron A, B, C and E, both Azneft stands and City were still on sale, and so was General Admission.
Availability moves every day of race week, and names can change between years. Treat any list, including this one, as a snapshot with a date on it.
About the castle
People search for a castle viewing area, and it is worth being precise. Giz Galasi is the Azerbaijani name of the Maiden Tower in the Old City.
Two grandstands sit on that part of the track. The official page describes Giz Galasi as a view of cars racing past the Maiden Tower. It describes Icheri Sheher as the castle section, just beyond Turn 8.
Both are ticketed grandstands, not free viewpoints from the old walls. On 17 September 2026 both showed as sold out.
What comes with the ticket
A grandstand listing on the official page names its features, such as a giant screen view, the Pit Lane Walk, access to the entertainment zones and concert access. Check the listing for the exact stand you are buying.
The General Admission listing is built around the entertainment zones instead. In 2026 it described access to different activities, and it said clearly that concerts were not included.
That matters for the comparison. General Admission is not just a cheaper seat. It is a different weekend, built around moving through those areas rather than sitting in one.
How to choose
Choose a grandstand if you are travelling with children. Choose it if you want a guaranteed view of the start. Choose it if standing for six hours is not realistic for you.
Choose General Admission if this is your first Grand Prix. Choose it if you want to see several corners. Choose it if the weekend is as much about the city as the racing.
Whatever you choose, buy from the official channel. Event tickets are a classic target for fake resale, and a race weekend in a sold-out city is not the moment to test a stranger’s honesty.
What this changes about your trip
A grandstand fixes your gate, which fixes your walk in, which fixes the hotel side of the track you want. General Admission leaves that open, so staying central matters more.
Either way, work out the walk before race day. The official guidance is that drop-offs cannot reach the gates because of road closures. You finish on foot, over a pedestrian bridge or through an underpass.
